Kira Kowalski

Hey friends! My name is Kira and I am Metropolis salon's first official on the job trained master hair care artist! My education has been here in the salon based on the current trends and techniques. I have always been passionate about hair and make up, so at the age of 32 I decided to leave my career in the medical field and start my dream job! I have never been happier in a career.I love to create and transform using my hands. Making some one feel they way they envision themselves is so rewarding! I pride myself on having good communication with my clients so we can reach their hair goals together. Coming to see me feels like catching up with an old friend and I love to communicate with people and hear about their lives. I love dimensional color, hand tied extensions, and special event hair and make up. I am great at achieving low maintenence looks that look fresh and modern.  I am also the lead make up artist and give make  up lessons. Helping you achieve a certain look for an event is my specialty.I grew up in Charleston but, I have lived in Columbia since 2004 when I moved here to attend the University of South Carolina. While I attended USC, I met Gregory Garrett, my instructor and mentor. I have a daughter named Luna and a Yorkie named Minnie! I’m half dominican and half polish so I can speak spanish fluently. Fun Fact: I am Disney OBSESSED and love to plan trips (I’m also a Disney Vacation Planner). If you’re ready to have a few laughs and finally have the hair of your dreams, then I can’t wait to meet you.
