Chris Cline
Born n raised in the NorthEast Columbia (specifically Pointiac//Elgin)As a younger child I was normally shy and would hide behind my parents legs. However, over my lifetime thus far, that has since changed.
When I started to hit middle to high school my social butterfly status started to evolve. When going through highschool AIM and MySpace became a huge part of culture and boom here came the world of social media. I then was able to see more of the world than BF South Carolina and saw people in California starting the Scene/Emo sun culture. The distinct style and taking it into our own hands at that age, I found out what Sallys Beauty is. I started to then experiment on myself (close friends too) with bleaching and cap based highlights.
I never thought of doing hair as a profession until I went to Midlands Tech and took the normal route on track to bridge into USC to major in Russian. My dream was/is still to become somewhat fluent in another language. I did one semester at Tech & dropped out to move to California on a whim overnight with a friend. So began my realization of how hard the world is!
The recession hit hard at the time 08-09, 5 month later, I came back home and started waiting tables at a local Restaurant, Pontiac house of Pizza. This taught me customer service to the T, which definitely help my way into Cosmetology. I then started my training at Paul Mitchell in Columbia 12 years ago. With my previous experience of bleaching hair using Sallys tools, it helped me with my confidence on doing Double Process blondes and also Lightening hair for fantasy colors.
With only 12 years behind the chair, I now know that a lot of times, hair can be unpredictable, ESPECIALLY WHEN LIGHTENING. My goals are to keep hair intact/healthy when in the chair, but have had the realization that AT HOME MAINTENANCE is probably the most important. If you don’t take care of your hair, how am I?
I’m comfortable with giving a no, but also a yes when it comes to service request. My personally is super fun and I don’t hold back on who I truly am, if that’s a problem (non conservative in sense of the word), I can refer to my teammates who match personalities that don’t match mine.
